Watershed to Tap
with Scituate Water Superintendent Gene Babin, Lance Van Lenten Linda Bornstein and Garry VanWart
This field trip to Scituate's intake reservoir, Old Oaken Bucket Pond, included a tour of Scituate's water treatment plant led by Mr. Babin. Students learned about the treatment, filtration and distribution of the water supply. Afterwards Ms. Bornstein conducted a brief reprise of the watershed model session and Mr. Van Lenten led the students in a potential impact scavenger hunt.
